What is an all-star dance team?
An all star dance team is an additional performance and competitive opportunity for dancers to elevate their knowledge and experience. They will learn how to dance on a team with dancers from other studios and work collaboratively to achieve a higher goal.
Is this a competitive team? Is travel involved and how many competitions per season?
Yes this is a competitive team. Travel to regional competitions throughout New Jersey will be required. With the potential and hope to experience competitions on a national level. At which point, travel to another state will be required.
will there be tryouts or can anyone join the team?
Yes there will be tryouts. Team placements are based on skill and age.
WHAT ARE THE DANCER EXPECTATIONS? what are parent expectations?
We expect all dancers to come prepared, be respectful, and demonstrate a positive attitude. Commitment and teamwork are key parts of our program. We ask that parents support their dancers by ensuring attendance and maintaining respectful communication.
Can my dancer participate in her studio and other sports?
Yes your dancer is encouraged to stay training at their studio. This is an opportunity, not a substitute. If they can balance the schedules, they can participate in both.
WHAT IS THE COST OF THE TEAM?
The cost is a monthly tuition as well as small one-time charges. Payments cover coaching, choreography, the studio rental space, insurance, and administrative fees.
are parents allowed to watch practices?
No. Parents are not allowed to sit in on practice. If they feel inclined to stay for the duration, they can remain in their cars or near the facility windows.
